Blues Revue (USA) describes Jan Preston’s piano blues as “...technically strong, full of character, dripping with life...”. Her new album “Wild Mood Swing” is certainly all that and more. Jan is Australia’s leading boogie-woogie blues performer. She won the Sydney Blues Society “Blues Performer of The Year Award” for 2003 and represented Sydney in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA this year.

This recording captures her live studio performance of rollicking songs
that swing between the sassy to the sultry. Accompanied by Andrew Burns on drums, Liz Frencham (Jig Zag) on double bass and Janet Levy (Finn) on saxophone, “Wild Mood Swing” is powered by honking sax, thumping toms and raunchy piano grooves.
